Largemouth Bass and the Fly Fisherman

Largemouth Bass can be found all over North America. They are a lot more available than most other species of fish. But just as important… they can be attracted by a wide range of baits.

Dry flies, frogs, nymphs. You name it. These great fighting fish will strike at almost anything.

Spin casting is the most common method of fishing for largemouth, but fly fisherman have found that their ability to accurately place a fly or light lure into tight spaces near banks, snags, and weedy areas give them a distinct advantage over other fishermen.

About the only thing easier than finding water where the largemouth bass has been introduced, is finding their favorite hangouts in that body of water. The season is long, and their voracious appetites just before spawning makes for some exciting days on the water.
